From the people who brought their watches in

Brought in a Seiko 5 that had been running about three minutes slow per day. The condition note was ready within two days and explained exactly what was going on. Everyday Service, done in just under two weeks. The watch now runs within a few seconds. Communication was clear throughout and the price matched what was quoted.

Bangkok, visiting Chiang Mai
I was in Chiang Mai for a week and dropped off a dive watch that had failed its water resistance check at another shop. The Surface & Seal Refresh took a little longer than I expected — about three weeks — but I had the watch posted back to Bangkok and it arrived in good condition. The pressure test result was included with the paperwork, which I appreciated.

Had a 1968 Omega Seamaster that belonged to my father. It hadn't been serviced in over twenty years and the movement was showing it. Went for the Legacy Overhaul. The pre-work assessment gave me a detailed picture of what was inside before I committed. The documentation through the process was genuinely thoughtful — felt like the watch was being treated with respect, not just processed.

My quartz watch stopped unexpectedly and I wasn't sure if it was the battery or something more. The written assessment answered that straight away — just the battery, plus a seal that needed replacing. Simple Everyday Service. No pressure to do more than was needed, which was the right approach. Happy to return for future services.

Jan Svenson
Swedish, long-term Chiang Mai resident
Had two watches serviced here in the past year — one Everyday Service for a daily-wear mechanical, and one Surface & Seal for an older diver. Both came back well. The diver case looks noticeably better and the brushed areas were kept as-is, which mattered to me. I did find the wait slightly longer than the initial estimate for the second watch, but they kept me informed and the result was worth it.

Chiang Rai, postal service used
Sent a grandfather's Longines for a Legacy Overhaul from Chiang Rai. The postal arrangement was discussed in detail before I sent anything, and clear packaging instructions were given. The written assessment took about a week after arrival, and from there the whole process was well communicated. The watch came back running well and with documentation I've kept with the piece.

A closer look at a few services
Challenge
A client brought in a mid-range Japanese automatic that had been running noticeably slow for several months. The owner had continued wearing it daily and was unsure whether the issue was mechanical or whether the watch was simply at the end of its service life.
Service
The condition note confirmed worn lubrication and some debris near the pallet fork. An Everyday Service was appropriate — no parts were needed, just a thorough cleaning and re-lubrication of the movement. The crown seal was also renewed as a precaution.
Outcome
Post-service timing showed the movement running at +4 seconds per day — well within normal variation for the calibre. Total duration: eight working days. The owner noted the watch had been running reliably for two months at the time of the review.
"I was half-expecting to be told I needed a full overhaul. The honest assessment was a relief — and the outcome was exactly what I needed." — Somchai R.
Challenge
A 1968 Omega Seamaster in the family for over fifty years. The movement had been serviced once in the 1990s and had not run reliably since. The owner wanted to have it assessed honestly before deciding whether a full restoration made sense.
Service
The pre-work assessment revealed significant mainspring fatigue and two worn jewels. These findings were shared in detail before proceeding. After the owner's confirmation, the movement was fully disassembled, cleaned, and rebuilt with period-correct replacement parts sourced from a Swiss parts supplier.
Outcome
The watch was returned running at +7 seconds per day — considered excellent for a movement of its age. The case retained all original brushed and polished surfaces. A full documentation record accompanies the watch. Duration: six weeks from assessment to collection.
"The documentation through the process was genuinely thoughtful — felt like the watch was being treated with respect, not just processed." — Michael P.
